Last Call: Delta's Revamped Credit Cards Have Some Terrific Limited Time Offers

If Delta is your airline of choice, the carrier just responded to Southwest and United by launching some lucrative limited time credit card offers of its own.

Update: These offers are set to expire on April 1, so even if you're not planning on doing much flying in the near future, this is still a great chance to stockpile miles for future travel.

Seeqr has partnered with The Points Guy affiliate network for our coverage of credit card products. Seeqr and The Points Guy may receive a commission from card issuers. The offers mentioned below are subject to change at any time and some may no longer be available.

Below are the new offers for all of Delta's newly revamped credit cards, along with their annual fees, and their previous offers for comparison.

Delta SkyMiles® Blue American Express Card: No annual fee. Earn 15,000 bonus miles after you spend $1,000 in purchases in your first 3 months.

Previously: 10,000 miles after spending $500 in the first three months

Delta SkyMiles® Gold American Express Card: $99 annual fee (waived in the first year). Earn 60,000 bonus miles after you spend $2,000 in purchases in your first 3 months. Plus, earn an additional 10,000 bonus miles after your first cardmember anniversary.

Previously: 30,000 bonus miles after spending $1,000 in purchases within your first 3 months, plus a $50 Statement Credit after you make a Delta purchase within your first 3 months.

Delta SkyMiles® Platinum American Express Card: $250 annual fee. Earn 80,000 bonus miles after you spend $3,000 in purchases in your first 3 months. Plus, earn an additional 20,000 bonus miles after your first cardmember anniversary.

Previously: 35,000 bonus miles and 5,000 Medallion Qualifying Miles after spending $1,000 in purchases within your first 3 months, plus a $100 Statement Credit after you make a Delta purchase within your first 3 months.

Delta SkyMiles® Reserve American Express Card: $550 annual fee. Earn 80,000 bonus miles and 20,000 Medallion Qualifying Miles after you spend $5,000 in purchases in your first 3 months. Plus, earn an additional 20,000 bonus miles after your first cardmember anniversary.

Previously: 40,000 SkyMiles and 10,000 MQMs after spending $1,000 in purchases within your first 3 months.

Which to Apply For?

We'll have full reviews of Delta's recently revamped credit cards soon, but the easiest way to compare them at a glance would be this chart from American Express:

via American Express

A few caveats here:

1) The chart doesn't include the SkyMiles Blue card, which has no annual fee, but also has essentially none of the above-listed benefits save for the 20% back on in-flight purchases.

2) The up to $100 Delta Flight Credits on the Gold card is only awarded after you spend $10,000 on purchases in a calendar year.

Given the welcome offer of up to 100,000 miles, the value of the domestic main cabin companion certificate, and the new up to $100 statement credit towards TSA Precheck or Global Entry applications every four years, we think the SkyMiles Platinum card is the best choice for most fliers, though every card certainly has its merits which we'll cover in more depth over the coming weeks.

These limited time welcome offers go away on April 1, so if you fly Delta often, you'll want to apply for one of the cards by then.
