Way Day

Way Day | Photo by Jon'Nathon Stebbe

As rumor swirl about an October 13 Prime Day, Wayfair just kicked off its own annual sale event: Way Day. It's the furniture wholesaler's biggest sale of the year, with discounts that they promise will be even better than Black Friday.

You can visit the sale page here to easily sort by type of furniture or room, but pay extra close attention to the flash sale section. While most of the deals are set to last for 48 hours through the end of Thursday, the extra steep flash sale discounts feature countdown timers, and are set to end tonight, if they don't sell out early.

Wayfair is best known for furniture, but if you're in the market for any major appliances, be sure to check out the site's Samsung section, where several discounted refrigerators, stoves, washing machines, and dryers come with bonus gift cards of up to $200.

Sad that you can't travel this year? We've waxed poetic about filling your home with vintage travel posters, and Way Day has hundreds of them on sale, including many that come pre-framed.

All-Inclusive Getaway

Fairmont Mayakoba All-Inclusive Getaway | $839+
Fairmont Mayakoba All-Inclusive Getaway | $839+

Sometimes, you want to explore every nook and cranny of a new destination, venturing off the beaten path to find hidden gems and holes in the wall to fill your day. There's a lot to be said for this!

Other times, you just want to sit on a beach, have drinks brought to you, and not worry about the bill at dinner. That's not a moral failing! There's nothing wrong with this, especially after the year we've all had. Embrace it!

One of Travelzoo's most popular getaway offers is back, and you can enjoy three nights at the secluded Fairmont Mayakoba with an all-inclusive package for just $839 for two people. That includes dining and drinks at three on-site restaurants, top-shelf cocktails from five on-site bars, and yes, beach chair service all day long.

The TripAdvisor 4.5 star rated resort is approximately 40 minutes from Cancun International Airport, but far removed from the monolithic mega resorts that Cancun is known for. In addition to your free food and drinks, you'll enjoy a $50 spa credit, plus a complimentary golf swing analysis and replay round, a $100 value. If you want to hit the real links to put your new swing to the test, there's also a Greg Norman-designed 18 hole course on the property.

Next summer, weekend rates for the all-inclusive package tend to hover around $390 per night, meaning you're basically getting three nights for the price of two with this deal, after you factor in the bonus credits. You can also add on additional nights at a steep discount, if you wish.

The voucher is valid through December 18, 2021, and if you decide not to use it, Travelzoo will give you a full refund.

Forsake Sneakerboots

$40-$60 Off Sneakerboots | Forsake
$40-$60 Off Sneakerboots | Forsake

Forsake's sneakerboots combine the comfort and looks of sneakers with the durability, support, and grip of a good pair of hiking boots. This "peak to pavement" approach making them perfect for adventurous travelers who want to save room in their suitcase, or day hikers who want to go straight from the trail to the bar.

We've covered why we love them over on The Discoverer, and here's what our Jersey Griggs had to say:

"As a combo boot and sneaker, Forsake shoes are comfortable for walking, they have good ankle support, and they’re extremely waterproof. In the winter, the leather uppers keep my toes warm, while the sturdy outsole prevents slippage on the ice. During spring, aka mud season in Maine, they keep my feet dry on my favorite walking trails. And when I wear my Patch boots out and about around town, I get complimented on them all the time."

Right now, a handful of closeout styles for men and women are $40-$60 off, which is one of the best deals we've seen.

Apple's latest Apple Watch Series 6 was an iterative, but no less impressive update to the ubiquitous wearable, adding a pulse oximeter, a brighter screen, and faster performance compared to the Series 5. It was only announced last week, but Amazon already has it for $15 off, in certain configurations. Look for $385 for the 40mm, or $415 for the 44mm.

Preorder BeClothed Silver Ankle Socks (Five Pairs) | $49

The best socks for travel are socks that literally clean themselves, and that's the promise of BeClothed's new Silver Ankle Socks. It's just the latest shape in BeClothed's lineup, and the brand has perfected weaving pure silver fibers into socks, underwear, and face masks that kill odor-causing bacteria on contact. I've been wearing BeClothed's silver gear for a few years now, and it really does work as advertised.

The Silver Ankle Socks are currently on Kickstarter, and Seeqr readers can get five pairs for about $49 (just scroll until you see the Seeqr-exclusive perk), with shipping estimated in January.

Moment Travelwear

Moment Travelwear

Update: This campaign ends today (9/23), so get your orders in now if you want to save!

Moment made its name by creating impossibly good camera lens attachments for smartphones, but in recent years, it’s slowly become a more all-encompassing photography and lifestyle brand.

Back in May, the brand made its first foray into camera bags with the release of its new Rugged Camera Slings, but that was just a warmup for Moment Travelwear collection, now up for preorder on Kickstarter.

We got an early look at the bags over on The Discoverer if you want to learn more, but if you're ready to preorder and save $20-$30 per bag (or more if you bundle), you can head over to the Kickstarter campaign here. Orders are expected to ship in November.

Ninja Foodi

Ninja Foodi With Broiling Rack | $140 | Normally $160

Pressure cookers are great at cooking food quickly. Air fryers are great at achieving crispy results. But Ninja was the first company to mash them together into a single appliance, and the result was the Ninja Foodi.

The Foodi can do anything an Instant Pot can do, and then at the end, switch to an air frying mode to add a little crisp to your finished product. It's good for a great many things, but it particularly shines in the discipline of heating up frozen snack foods.

It's not a small appliance, but you'll be able to use it for a lot of different recipes, and today's $140  is the best Amazon's ever listed on this particular configuration, which includes a broiling rack.

Grand Canyon Getaway

Yavapai Lodge Grand Canyon Getaway | $129 per night | Photo by Jennifer Rogalla

If you're looking for one last socially distanced getaway before the weather turns, Travelzoo has fully refundable rooms available at the Grand Canyon's Yavapai Lodge for just $129 per night through October 24 (plus a free bottle of wine!), roughly $80-$100 less than the typical price we're seeing for two queen rooms.

Yavapai Lodge isn't a full-service hotel--the rooms are fairly basic--but it's one of the few lodging options available inside the borders of Grand Canyon National Park, and is walking distance or a short shuttle ride away from the south rim of the canyon. Yavapai West, where you'll be staying, was also recently renovated, and all rooms are accessed from the outdoors, so you won't need to walk through a public lobby to get to your room.

As with all of Travelzoo's recent getaways, you can buy the voucher now, and then get a full refund if you're unable to use it before the expiration date.

Dominican Republic Getaway With Extras | $1,599

Punta Cana, Dominican Republic would be a terrific choice for a romantic getaway once it's safe to travel again, and this refundable getaway offer is packed with free extras to make your next trip even more special.

$1,599 gets you three nights in a suite with a private pool at the 5-star Eden Roc Cap Cana resort, which boasts a private beach, two pools, a beach bar, several upscale restaurants, and access to three Jack Nicklaus-designed golf courses. Compared to the consistent $575 nightly rate we're seeing next summer, it's only a modest discount, but the selling points here are the extras.

Every three-night voucher includes a $250 food-and-beverage credit, a $100 spa credit, an $85 golf credit, and free welcome drinks. That's over $400 in bonus value, and will help you make the most of your trip.

Once you buy your voucher, you'll be able to redeem it through next November, with a few blackout dates. And if you can't make the trip for any reason, Travelzoo will give you a full refund.

Not only will you be saving over 50% on your junior oceanview suite (with the option to upgrade to a swim-up suite), you'll also get a $100 resort credit (per stay) which can be used on drinks, dining, spa services, or at the gift shop.

Merino Base Layers

Smartwool Merino Base Layer Sale

You know Smartwool for its socks, but you'll want to wear the brand's soft and layerable merino wool base layers all winter long. Several styles for men and women are on sale at REI right now, including tops and bottoms ranging from 150 weight (light and breathable) to 250 weight (thicker and warmer for cold weather layering).

Merino is naturally temperature regulating, wicks sweat away from your body as well as any fabric out there, and is naturally anti-microbial to resist odors, even if you wear it multiple days between washing. The deals here are generally in the range of 25%-30% off, which is about as good as it gets when it comes to Smartwool.

Costa Rica Getaway

Nayara Springs Relais & Chateaux Getaway | $1299

Many of TripAdvisor's recent refundable getaway deals have offered great deals to explore the most beautiful corners of the world. This trip to La Fortuna de San Carlos, in the heart of the Costa Rican rainforest, certainly fits that mold. But the real selling point here is the legendary resort itself.

The adults-only Nayara Springs Relais & Chateaux is consistently rated as one of the world' great luxury hotels, placing #5 in TripAdvisor's current worldwide ranking of luxury hotels, and #10 in Travel + Leisure's 2018 ranking of the world's best hotels.  Each of the resort's 33 rooms feature private plunge pools and over 1,500 square feet of private space, and with this deal, you can stay three nights for $1,299 through October 2021 (or $1,599 through next April 28, with a bonus $50 spa credit).

For context, these rooms are very consistently priced at $620 per night next summer elsewhere, so you'll be saving over $500 over the course of your three night stay. You'll also have the option to add additional nights for $435 per night, if you don't think three nights will provide sufficient pampering. The voucher also includes complimentary daily breakfast for two, welcome drinks, a bird-watching tour, complimentary yoga classes, and more.

Flights aren't included, but the resort is accessible from both of Costa Rica's major international airports, which are served by all of the major U.S. carriers, including Southwest and JetBlue.

As with all of Travelzoo's recent vouchers, if you decide not to make the trip, you can get a full refund up until the voucher's expiration date. After all this year has thrown at us, a private plunge pool sounds like a worthy reward.

Gravel Travel Gear

25% Off Sitewide | Gravel | Promo code SEEQR

Gravel makes our favorite toiletry bags and travel blankets, and will soon release one of the most innovative travel bags we've ever seen. Right now, our readers can get 25% off everything Gravel sells with promo code SEEQR.

I've been using the smaller Gravel Explorer Slim myself for years, and it's one of the most well-made travel accessories I've ever used. Its interior pockets are designed with specific bathroom items in mind, like one that's sized for a standard stick of deodorant, another for your toothbrush, and a water-resistant pocket for liquids that could leak. The larger version would be great for people who pack a lot of cosmetics, or couples that want to share a dopp kit.

The Layover travel blanket packs down to nearly nothing, and is full of clever touches like foot wells and a neck snap to keep the blanket in place even if you doze off in your airplane seat. Plus, it could double as a picnic blanket when you aren't traveling. This deal is a match for the best we've seen on it since it was on Kickstarter.

And while it won't come out until December, the Gravel Travel System is one of the most creative and innovative travel packs we've ever seen. Comprised of three different bags that you can mix and match, you could use it to pack for a weekend, or multiple weeks away from home. Preorders for the system are already discounted compared to the expected MSRP, but promo code SEEQR will stack an extra 25% discount on top.

Hundreds of our subscribers have already signed up for Butcher Box's best annual promotion, and you only have a few more days to join them (ends 9/27). All you have to do is sign up for a subscription to the meat delivery service, and they'll throw in two pounds of ground beef for free, in addition to whatever would normally come in your box.

SmartDrop

Preorder Eufy SmartDrop

Porch piracy--having a package stolen off your front porch while you're not home--has been on the rise. And while a video doorbell can record a thief in the act, it can't actually stop them from running off with your online purchases. That's where Eufy's new SmartDrop comes in.

SmartDrop is essentially a personal version of those Amazon delivery lockers you've probably seen around town. It sits by your front door, and allows delivery drivers to safely and securely lock your packages out of reach of any ne'er-do-wells. If SmartDrop is empty, a delivery driver can open it with a press of the open button, after which it'll lock automatically. And if it's already locked, you can include a security code as a line of your address, allowing them to get inside.

If you pair SmartDrop with a Eufy HomeBase, you'll also get an alert on your phone and a live video view of anyone that gets close to the box, with the option to lock or unlock SmartDrop remotely.

The catch? SmartDrop isn't expected to ship until next June. But if you preorder it through Eufy's Kickstarter, you can get it for as little as $149 as an Earlybird backer, or $199 with a bundled HomeBase. That's down from an expected MSRP of $299 and $349, respectively, so you stand to save as much as 50% by locking in your order early.

Nepal Getaway

Nepal 8-Night Trek | $599

2020 isn't a great year to travel, but it's turning into an amazing year to save on future trips that you might never have booked otherwise. Case in point: this 8-night adventure in Nepal, which Travelzoo is currently offering for 50% off.

For $599 per person, you'll get two nights accommodations in Kathmandu, two nights in Pokhara, and in-between, four nights of unforgettable, guided hiking (moderate difficulty) through the Annapurna mountain range of the Himalayas, which Travel Channel has called "one of the most beautiful hikes on the planet," capped off with a sunrise hike to the famous Poon Hill. It won't exactly be a relaxing vacation laying on the pool, but if you're up for an adventure, it's sure to be an unforgettable experience.

The voucher includes airport transfers, all of your meals during the trek, entry fees, trekking permits, and all government taxes and paperwork, and can be redeemed all the way through December 2022.

Booking the exact same tour directly through the Prime Himalayas tour company (which has a near-perfect TripAdvisor rating, incidentally) directly would cost you $1,199 per person, so you're truly saving 50% here, and are entitled to a full refund from Travelzoo if you decide not to make the journey.

Tiny Multitool

Malboro & Kane Claw Multitool | $15 | Normally $30 | Promo code SEEQR

Adding a multitool to your keychain is a big commitment; your keys have to fit in your pocket every time you leave the house, and space is of paramount importance.

That's why we love Malboro & Kane's Claw. It's a single piece of titanium that's smaller than the diameter of a penny, and yet can open boxes, bottles, and paint cans, or even turn a screw in a pinch. It's not the easiest tool for doing any of those things, to be sure, but it's definitely the smallest and most convenient, because you'll always have it with you.

Normally $30, you can use promo code SEEQR at checkout today to add it to your keychain for $15.

You can opt to extend your tour to six nights starting at $999 per person, with tours leaving four times per month in December-February and June-August, through the end of 2022. If you want to travel during the shoulder seasons, you'll have to pay a bit more, but still less than you'd normally spend on this once-in-a-lifetime journey.

As with all of Travelzoo's recent getaways, if you decide not to use your voucher, you can get a full refund for any reason.

Delsey Helium Aero 29" Spinner Suitcase | $97 | Normally $120-$160

Even if COVID-19 weren't threatening the future of overhead bins, everyone needs at least one big rolling suitcase for long trips, cross-country moves, or just for holding holiday decorations during the year.

The Delsey Helium Aero 29" spinner is lightweight, expandable, has a built-in TSA lock, and is backed up with a 10 year warranty. All that is to say, it checks all of the boxes for a suitcase that you need to own, but probably won't use during most trips. Today's $97 is a rare discount under $100, and within a couple bucks of an all-time low price.

Silver Mask

Silver Mask | $19 | Normally $29 | Promo code SEEQR

Sweaty face masks stink, but we've got to wear them. Luckily, BeClothed has come up with a partial solution for smelly face coverings to get you through the rest of the summer: pure silver.

The brand pioneered the use of silver fibers to create better-smelling socks and underwear, and is now applying the same principle to face masks. Bacteria are killed whenever they come into contact with silver (similar to copper), and thus, are unable to produce a musty smell. It won't protect you from viruses like COVID-19 any more than any other cloth mask, but it will be more pleasant to wear. It doesn't hurt that it's one of the most comfortable masks I've tried to date.

The Silver Mask is fully machine washable, and is made from 20% pure silver fibers along with twill cotton and spandex. Normally $29, you can use promo code SEEQR today to get one for $19.

Private Internet Access

Two Months Free With Purchase of Two Years | Private Internet Access

Whether you're protecting your private data while using public Wi-Fi or just trying to watch streaming services' overseas libraries, everyone should have access to VPN service to mask their devices' locations and anonymize their data.

Private Internet Access is one of the easiest VPNs to use, and works with computers, tablets, and phones alike. With a few clicks, your phone in Oklahoma City could appear to all the world to be located in New York City, or London, or Tokyo, or dozens of cities in between.

Right now, if you buy two years of access for $70 (which works out to under $3 per month), they'll throw in two bonus months for free. It's not a huge discount, but PIA rarely offers any deals at all.
